I had one of those moments with this Urban Outfitters dress. Sometimes, you just know. It was the first thing I saw upon walking into the Liverpool store last week and no matter how I tried to talk myself out of it, I knew it would be coming home with me. In spite of my recent pact with myself to seek out some cheaper clothing options, I couldn’t resist.
It’s got everything: a full skirt, cute print and the keyhole neckline adds just a little bit of oomph. I’m guessing my cost-per-wear during the summer months is going to end up being in pennies rather than pounds. It’s the first piece of SS14 clothing I’ve bought myself this year (which deserves a round of applause at the very least) and it definitely clicked something inside of me.
As I was in such a good mood after buying these, I also treated myself to an impulse buy in River Island. The daisy trend is one of the few I’m completely on board with so I decided to inject a bit of spring into my very statement, gold jewellery collection with this delicate bracelet. Heads up; there’s a matching necklace which I’ll be definitely heading back for.
A week later, I’ve snapped into full-on summer mode and ended up walking out of Clarks the other day with this gorgeous pair of brogues. Confession time: I’m awful with shoes and swing between my beloved winter boots and summer sandals without much excitement in between. Well, I think I’ve found my in-between and despite initial reservations about how easy they’d be to style, I’m in love. The cutouts make them perfect to team with a cute pair of ankle socks and they’re unbelievably comfortable. They’re featured in a lot of the advertising Clarks are doing for their Spring collections and no wonder – they’re utterly perfect!
I really hope you’ve enjoyed this post! It’s my first attempt at doing proper outfit photos and honestly, I don’t know how you guys do it so often! With nobody to take full length shots and a tripod that struggles to balance my camera, I had to resort to chopping my head off to fit as much ‘outfit’ in there as possible! Maybe I’ll recruit a photographer/unwilling boyfriend to help next time but until then…I hope these have served you well!
