The Cartoon Bag: Style Spotlight

Today, I am thrilled to present to you all my precious new possession: the cartoon bag.

Yep. I’m like a mother posing with her new baby.

Since a friend of mine showed me an Instagram account featuring bags that looked like they couldn’t possibly be real, I’ve been fascinated with them. The account was by Jump from Paper and I’m pretty sure this is the original brand that created these bags. Now, with price upward of £70, there was unfortunately no way that I was splashing out that much on a bag that won’t go with most things that I own. This number cost me precisely £5.82 from – you guessed it – eBay.

If I’m honest, the quality feels like the price I paid for it and as you’ll see in my ‘outtake’ photo below, the poppers are quite difficult. However, it’s such a novelty to look in the mirror and be completely baffled by how cleverly they are designed. The design isn’t a direct copy of one of the Jump from Paper styles so I’m guessing that’s how they get away with it but if you search eBay for cartoon bags or the brand name, you’ll find a whole lot of cheap lookalikes.

Seriously, it’s items like this that make me wish I could do fashion-y poses and find a photographer to help me do it justice. But for now, I hope my amateurish photography has got you hooked too!
