Reviewing Breakfast at Bills, Liverpool

It was with great anticipation that I was awaiting the opening of Bills Liverpool. With rave reviews left right and centre online, particularly about their breakfasts, my friend Lauren and I arranged to head to Liverpool on its opening weekend. Situated opposite the Hilton in Liverpool One and decorated beautifully with incredibly friendly staff, it was a joy to just sit and look around at all the knick knacks.

As it was my first trip, I just had to try the pancakes. Blueberry and buttermilk pancakes with strawberry, banana and maple syrup, to be precise. Despite it being relatively full, our food arrived incredibly quickly – accompanied by an elderflower fizz and fruity smoothie.

These were devoured pretty quickly, as you can imagine. With so many options on the menu – including a vegetarian breakfast with a twist of added guacamole and sweet chilli – it’s one of those place where you’d need to try something new every time you went! The dessert menu was almost certainly my favourite with so many options that I’ve already planned to go for afternoon tea. Plus, you won’t pay extortionate prices for the privilege.

I’m not sure whether this was given to us because it was the opening weekend but we were lucky enough to be given a pot of cherry jam at the end of our breakfast! There’s even order forms on your table where you can order various condiments and chocolates to take away with you – too cute.

A wonderful experience that will be repeated many a time, Bills is one of my new favourite haunts!

I am most definitely going to have to hit up Bill's at some point…last time I was home, I wish I'd known it was open because when I walked past it, I'd already eaten! But there's a new one in Manchester now, so I'll have to review it and we can compare notes 😛
